Correspondents
NSNA reports through its own correspondents — in Sudan’s states and in capitals abroad — so that national coverage comes from the place it happens, verified by the newsroom before it is published.
The network
Accredited NSNA correspondents file reports, photographs, audio and video from their locations to the central newsroom. A correspondent never publishes directly: every submission is checked and edited centrally, so the same standards apply to a report from a state capital as to one from headquarters.
Coverage in Sudan
Nyala (HQ) · Khartoum · Port Sudan · Al Fashir · Geneina · Zalingei · Al Daein · Kassala · El Obeid · Wad Madani
International bureaux
Washington · London · Paris · Addis Ababa · Nairobi · Cairo · Khartoum Bureau · Juba Bureau
How reports are verified
Each submission identifies its sources and the location and time of the events reported. Editors may ask the correspondent for additional information or supporting material before a report is approved for publication, and the correspondent sees the status of every submission — received, under review, needing more information, approved or published — in the correspondents’ portal.
Working with the network
Accredited correspondents sign in to the portal with their individual accounts. Media organisations and members of the public can reach the correspondents’ desk through info@nsnamedia.com (subject: “Correspondents”). Recruitment to the network is announced by the agency; there is no public application form.
