Editorial Policy
How the New Sudan News Agency gathers, verifies and publishes news. This policy binds every NSNA journalist, editor and correspondent, on every platform.

Accuracy before speed
Every fact in an NSNA report must be verified before publication. Where a claim rests on a single source, the report says so and names the source. Figures, names and titles are checked against the issuing authority wherever one exists.
Breaking news is published as it is confirmed, in stages: what is known, what is not yet known, and what is being verified. Unconfirmed reports are never presented as fact.
Attribution and sources
Official material is published under the name of the issuing institution. Correspondent reports carry the correspondent’s location and the sources relied on. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is of clear public importance, cannot be obtained otherwise, and has been approved by a senior editor who knows the source’s identity.
Impartiality
NSNA reports the activities and positions of state institutions fully and accurately, and reports public affairs — including criticism and differing views — fairly and without distortion. News reports do not carry the personal opinions of journalists; analysis and opinion are labelled as such.
Corrections
Errors are corrected openly and promptly under the Corrections & Updates Policy. A corrected report shows what changed and when.
