Official Complaint to The United Nations
Republic of Sudan
Government of Peace
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
Statement of Condemnation and Denunciation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of Peace condemns in the strongest possible terms the bombing that targeted the Dumaya neighborhood in the city of Nyala on Monday, October 26, 2026, by a drone belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood Army, which resulted, according to the information received, in the deaths of 102 civilians and injuries to 113 others.
The Ministry affirms that the massacres and violations targeting innocent citizens constitute a serious assault on civilian lives and security. According to the Government’s position, they form part of the scorched-earth policy carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood Army in the regions of Kordofan, Blue Nile, and Darfur, following earlier events in South Sudan.
The continuation of attacks on public markets, water sources, hospitals, schools, and civilian facilities constitutes a serious violation of the rules of international humanitarian law. Such acts may amount to war crimes warranting accountability and prosecution before the competent judicial authorities.
The Ministry condemns attempts to forcibly displace citizens from areas under the control of the Government of Peace, after their living conditions had begun to stabilize and life had gradually resumed in the education, health, and basic services sectors.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of Peace announces its intention to submit an urgent official complaint to the United Nations, the United Nations Security Council, the African Union, the European Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), the Quad, and the Human Rights Council. The complaint will include the information and documentation available to the Ministry concerning violations and abuses attributed to the Muslim Brotherhood Army against civilians in several areas under the control of the Government of Peace. The Ministry calls for investigations into these violations and for the necessary legal measures to be taken..
The Ministry affirms that targeting civilians, destroying infrastructure, looting resources, and displacing populationsو،practices pursued by the Sudanese Army،undermines Sudan’s security and stability and compounds the suffering of its people. It stresses that protecting the nation and its citizens requires safeguarding lives and property, respecting international law, and preventing civilians from being exposed to the dangers of indiscriminate killings carried out by the Muslim Brotherhood Army and its terrorist militias.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation calls upon the international community and international, regional, and national organizations to condemn the targeting of civilians, take urgent action to protect them, work to ensure accountability for these violations committed by the Port Sudan Government’s army, protect civilian facilities, and guarantee unimpeded humanitarian access to those affected.
