Prime Minister Al-Taishi Praises Revolutionary Media, Criticises Funded Stations
In a speech published on 8 October 2026, the Peace Government’s Prime Minister Al-Taishi thanked journalists for responsible coverage of conference deliberations, accused “paid media” of spreading bad news to destabilise Peace Government areas, and pledged a model “100% different” from Port Sudan within 11 months.
Prime Minister Al-Taishi has praised what he called the real revolutionary media for its coverage of the conference deliberations, saying it was responsible and good, carried the positive picture directly, and that its journalists were trustworthy and professional. He contrasted that coverage with what he called the yellow press, which carries bad news, and with paid media which he said takes from intelligence services and works to poison people’s lives by focusing on bad news. That media will never defeat our will to build, he said, adding that he knew which stations he meant and could name them, but that they were not worth naming. He said one station had published six posts in a single day about killings and looting, which he said was its daily average for eight months, and that no hidden story could disturb his people or obscure the recovery under way in their communities. Setting out that recovery, he said Nyala, which had 500,000 citizens, now has four million; the city had two markets and now has 16; most schools have reopened; and six universities will be announced, with six university directors. A kilo of meat costs 14,000, he said, unlike people in Port Sudan, who he said queue for fuel and for everything. We have 70% of our resources, he said, adding that the country’s livestock is exported from there to the whole world, along with its gold and all its resources, which he said will be exploited for the benefit of its communities. This society will recover 100%, he said, pledging that within 11 months a model will be built there that is 100% different from the model in Port Sudan, and that his people’s energy is 100 times stronger than that of the intelligence services trying to divide their communities.
