The Council of Ministers of the Transitional Peace Government held its second meeting in the city of El Fasher on October 28, chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Hassan Eltaishi, and in the presence of the Council members. The meeting coincided with the anniversary of the city's liberation from the defilement of mercenary movements and terrorist militias. At the outset of its proceedings, the Council saluted the struggle of El Fasher's martyrs and liberation heroes, invoking mercy upon their pure souls, and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded. The Council also hailed the great victories achieved by the Founding Sudan Alliance forces across all fronts, affirming its full solidarity with the forces until the entire national soil is liberated from the defilement of the Port Sudan terrorist gang.

In a press statement following the meeting, the Minister of Information and Official Spokesperson for the Peace Government, Mr. Khaled Ahmed Danaa, stated that the Council discussed a number of important topics and agenda items, most notably the report of the previous Council of Ministers meeting and the plan to address the risks of food shortages in Sudan. The Council also listened to a briefing by the Comrade Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding his meeting with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General.

The Minister of Information added: "The Council meeting was opened by Comrade Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Hassan Eltaishi, who invoked mercy upon all martyrs in all Sudanese wars, especially the martyrs of the city of El Fasher." The official government spokesperson emphasized that the meeting holds special significance, coming one year after the liberation of the city of El Fasher, as the Council saluted the victories of the forces in Blue Nile, Kordofan, and the Tina axis. Minister Danaa added: "The meeting of the Council of Ministers in El Fasher carries great historical and symbolic significance.
